Opera 10: less innovation, higher performance

Since 1994, many innovations for which Opera has been, the perennial third party. While Internet Explorer and Netscape first Firefox then fought for the lead, Opera introduced tabbed browsing, speed dial, mouse gestures and speed unprecedented features that its competitors have adopted later.

This is preserved in Opera 10 , a version not very innovative, but solid and stable as a rock. In this video you can see its new look and some new functions.

Opera 10 is very fast. It even has a way Turbo , a technology already in use in Opera Mini , which is the recompression of the pages requested by a third party server. What is lost as is gained in speed. Ideal if you surf with dial-up or want to control the use of data.

Unite , which promised to add a new dimension to the sharing of content, has been abandoned in the final version, perhaps because it is still too experimental: Opera 10 is still a web browser without integrated servers. On the other hand, the interface has improved significantly, with preview of tabs, spell check and a faster more efficient marker.

Absent from the Grand Opera 10 is the private browsing. All other browsers, from Safari to Chrome, the included and promoted. The reason for this lack, perhaps, lies in the philosophy of Opera, which gives priority to real security and privacy over the facade. Opera in forums, the discussion continues .
